Laboratory methods

Capillary electrophoresis

Using a genetic analyzer, the length of DNA fragments or their sequence is determined.

Cytogenetic method

Determination of the human chromosome set using a high-resolution microscope.

Real-time PCR

The polymerase chain reaction method is used to simultaneously amplify and measure the amount this DNA molecule.

Next generation sequencing (NGS)

The NGS method is used for genome-wide studies, it is able to process huge amounts of data per unit of time.
